Based on an in-depth study of 562 PNC branches, 93 of which are LEED certified and 469 are non-LEED certified, professors at Notre Dame show a statistically significant difference in the profitability between the LEED and non-LEED branches.  After controlling for other variables that could influence performance (e.g., consumer net worth, employee demographics, market demographics, size and age of branch, marketing spend), the researchers found that the LEED branches contributed $461,300 more to the bottom line per employee than the non-LEED branches.
